UPDATE: Investigators detain inspector of Russian road traffic watchdog

MOSCOW, Sep 28 (PRIME) -- Moscow investigators have detained Artyom Vysotsky, inspector of a local department of the National Road Traffic Supervision Administration under a bribery case, Yulia Ivanova, a representative of the Investigative Committee, told PRIME on Wednesday.
Investigators and law enforcement officers have searched the department under a criminal case of receiving 1.15 million rubles in bribes for protection of transportation companies.
“The total amount of money received in bribes stood at no less than 1.15 million rubles. The investigation is uncovering other similar criminal episodes. Today, searches at more than 27 buildings are being held under the case, including the department of the National Road Traffic Supervision Administration,” the committee said.
